5 Life Lessons from The Rock
Laugh all you want, but Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson is one of those people that never ceases to motivate me. In between professional wrestling and his many hilarious roles where he pokes fun at athlete/bodybuilder stereotypes, The Rock is a really great source of motivation, not only to lead a healthier life and exercise more, but also for how to be a decent human being.
And he serves up these tidbits of inspiration in a brutally raw way that only The Rock can get away with.
Stay Focused!
I have no clue who he’s yelling at here, but you can bet they got their asses in gear after being shouted at mid-set by The Rock.
Make Things Happen
Don’t just sit there waiting for opportunities and good things to come to you.
Get out there and make them happen!
Don’t knock on opportunity’s door… kick that b*tch in, smile and introduce yourself. #Sir #MrJohnsonIfUrNasty
Help Others
No matter how successful you are, you can always lend a helping hand.
Sometimes Things Just Suck
We’ve all had those times in our life where even the most basic things become a chore and things start to pile up. Stress mounts and things start to look bleak and daunting. The Rock is there to remind you that it’s how you handle things and finish what you have to do, that matters most.
“Sometimes you eat the bear.. and sometimes the bear eats you”. Tough week – we’ve all been there… But it ain’t how you start – it’s how you finish. Finish strong..
You Have to Earn It
If you want something, you have to earn it. If you want to get that degree, you have to study your ass off and earn it. If you want to be the best snowboarder, you have to practice every chance you get. If you want to lose weight and get the body you want, you have to sweat and grunt and earn it through consistent hard work.
Strip away all the noise… Success will always come down to putting in the work.
